What are some of the challenges in AI automated navigation?
How is Digital for development contributing to solutions of automated navigation?
The world has been caught in a storm by AI innovations. Increasing
researches have and are still being made in a bid to automate driving and thus
navigation of the vehicles. In this post we are going to briefly discuss some
of challenges faced in navigation and how digital for development is attempting to harness AI in this context.
Navigation algorithm considers three main types of problems, which are: the choice of the environment model, determination of the system’s position and the system’s movement behaviour.
These navigation problems have been addressed in most developed countries, but not as much in African countries. Digital development promotes the use and application of technology and digital tools to close the global digital divide. In African communities there’s great gulf in terms of technology that facilitate Automated navigation.
At glowdom we support digital for development and have made initiatives that promotes the African scientists. Currently we are participating in the Africa Week Code Challenge. The aim is to one day contribute to solving the navigation challenges and be at par with leading AI innovations such as automated navigation.
